What is difference between Liking and Loving? Like and love are perhaps two words that are used interspersed. It is not surprising to see couples who continue to like each other and the next minute say they love each other. The exchange of these two words has been so frequent that many people have given equal value to these two words. But in reality, to like and love are two very different words. Here the differences between liking and loving.
Difference between Liking and Loving
One of the differences between wanting and loving is the reach of their meanings. While liking and loving belong to positive feelings and perceptions towards certain people, places or even objects, the meaning of liking is very general and may be generic in its expression. Often, liking is a term used when you compare two objects or people that are similar. On the other hand, loving is a very constrictive term and often involves a deep sense of affection towards a particular person, place or object. That said, a person who loves another person, place or object, does not always find he comparing between two individuals or similar objects.
Another difference is the investment given by a particular individual. When a person likes someone or something, it is usually based on what they can see immediately. As such, the bases for something or someone you like may be very superficial and may be felt in a short period of time. On the other hand, a person who loves a person, place or object has invested a lot of time in it. In effect, love is developed over a long period of time. In the case between two people, love sometimes occurs after spending a considerable amount of time with that person.
Finally, there is a level of intimacy. Because one person likes the other quickly, the relationship can also be considered new and superficial. That being the case, a person who likes another can easily change his mind in a short period of time without any kind of feeling involved.
On the other hand, because it was reversed when one person loves another, the relationship between the two people can be very profound. As a result, two people who are this type of relationship are not to simply change partners. In the event that the relationship ends, breaking can be very painful and it can take a long time for one or both of the people to stop having feelings of love for the other person.
