What is difference between AK 47 and SKS? Man has stood out over the centuries for being a great creator, these inventions being very important for humanity, but there are some that have been used for destruction. There are inventions and developments that have been used to do evil or cause harm to others. Among these we have firearms, specifically we are going to talk about two in particular, the AK 47 and the SKS, which were developed and designed in the Soviet Union in the mid-1940s. The SKS is a semi-automatic carbine, designed in 1945 by Russian Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. It was designed for the 7.62 x 39 mm M1943 cartridge, an intermediate power cartridge that was later used on AK type rifles. The SKS uses a conventional design for a carbine, with a wooden butt and without a pistol grip.
Many variations have an integrated bayonet that is pivoted to fix, and some have grenade launchers. The SKS is a semi-automatic rifle consisting of a short stroke gas piston, wooden stock, swinging bolt and without a pistol grip. The AK 47 is an assault rifle operated by gases. This means that part of the gases from the combustion of gunpowder is used to perform the automatic firing operation.

Many governments in the world allow civilians to own SKS rifles, since this weapon is used by hunters throughout the world. Meanwhile the AK 47 is only used by members of the army.
