Difference between Teasing and Bullying: – Kids love to mess with other kids their age. They almost always do. But often they cannot avoid crossing the thin line between taunts and harassment. It is therefore important that everyone can understand the difference between teasing and bullying are often confused.
There are things that stop being fun and become hurtful. The b blunt and jeers to some extent are ways to socialize, which are often perceived as friendly, neutral or negative. They can take many forms, from playful and jovial to degrading, hurtful, hateful and abusive. When done in a healthy way, jokes and teasing foster rapprochement between people and are a great way to “break the ice.”
However, taunts become hostile when people begin to use them as a way to gain greater social status, exercise their power over the weakest people or simply with the intention of hurting. When nasty jokes are made daily, then it is called bullying.
Bullying
As already said that before, when the game becomes offensive, then is done frequently, we are talking about harassment.

Bullying is a widespread practice in which a person has no motive or purpose; it regularly damages another. It consists of the use of threat, force and intimidation to aggressively impose on others. Bullying usually occurs verbally and includes insults of different types.
Some experts see the difference between teasing and bullying as a matter of degree. The intimidation often begins with soft taunts, but once the bully finds a vulnerable target; intensify and become more offensive and persistent.
Key differences between Teasing and Bullying
- The mockery is done in a playful and unconscious way; in addition, the people do not feel deeply offended. On the other hand, harassment is a recurring practice consisting of jokes and heavy jokes.
- The mockery is usually friendly, while harassment is often very aggressive.
- Teasing can help to build relationships, while harassment is detrimental to the victim both physically and emotionally.
