Difference between Inspiration and Motivation
This word describes the process of being mentally stimulated to make or feel something, especially when it comes to doing “something creative”. It denotes some kind of influence that is involved in the stimulation process.
In a nutshell, inspiration has to do with the influence that motivates someone to do something. When you feel inspired, the most important thing knows how to recognize the source of inspiration. The source can be a person, an idea, an object, a song, a photograph, a slip on the road while watching how everyone laughs at you, a story; in short, almost everything has the power to inspire.
There are two types of inspiration, the active and the passive. The first refers to the act of feeling stimulated and creating new things, applying new ideas and discovering errors in things that have already been created; the second is to consume the successful ideas of others.
On the other hand, motivation is defined as the reason or reasons you have to do something or act and behave in a certain way.
It relates to inspiration in the sense that it increases the willpower and even the courage to do some work. When a person is motivated puts more effort and dedication in what he does, so it can be said that motivation is the combination of desire and will. It is the enthusiasm to achieve something.
If one compares with inspiration, one can see that motivation is a little less abstract, because it often depends on the direct actions on the individual; for example, imagines an entrepreneur who decides to give an incentive to his employees to motivate them to work better or, in the case of education; think about that student who receives a recognition or a medal for his good grades, both are ways to motivate people.
Finally, as we have said on another occasion, there are two types of motivation: intrinsic and extrinsic. The first is the one that moves people to do things by pure pleasure, desire or because they consider it important; while the second is that which depends on external factors.
