Fruits are nothing more than mature ovaries that result from plant seeds. They usually develop from flowers, but can also develop from some type of plant tissue; such as bananas. Vegetables have no seeds and are not usually sweet and fleshy like fruits. People regularly classify different vegetable flavors; some are considered sweet, others tart, bitter or salty. Also, vegetables usually contain fewer calories than fruits (because they usually have less sugar).
