A bar, or public house (as they are formally called in some places), is usually a place where people are going to hang out. Almost everyone goes there for some drinks like beers, whiskey, wines, cocktails and even some concoctions.
In places like England, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand bars are even an important part of culture. In these places the bars are concentrated in specific points, since the purpose of them is usually to create communities so that the members of the same ones create the habit of going to eat, drink, talk, discuss and gossip there.
Also, there are many themed bars that focus on a particular clientele. Some of the most common settings usually found in them have to do with sports, musical styles, urban tribes, gays, karaokes, and stripers, among others.
On the other hand, a club or nightclub (as it is commonly called) is a place mostly focused on young audiences and mostly characterized by dance floors and DJs.
Usually the nightclubs are kept open until very late at night. They are also called discos, discos and clubs in some places. Among the biggest attractions they offer are blaring music, drinks and dancing.
Finally, some nightclubs do special some days of the week. For example, they sometimes allow women to enter for free or have free drinks. Likewise, in some cases VIP lists of clients are created that can enter without queuing. There are also themed clubs that play a certain type of music and dress according to an established code.
